Etimaad Qatar was entrusted the EPIC replacement of the 24 inch natural gas feedstock pipeline to Oryx GTL Ltd. This job was one of the most critical activities in the recently concluded shutdown of Oryx GTL facilities. The replacement work included crossing of the new pipeline across Ras Laffan Avenue which was achieved using Horizontal Directional Drilling. In a shutdown window of only 10 days, the job was completed safely and as per schedule. The work was appreciated by the Oryx GTL management team and Head of Contract Services wrote to Etimaad’s Project Manager “Our appreciation towards successful installation of 24” Gas line, which is very critical to Oryx GTL. You and your team deserves applaud for achieving this milestone with no injuries which is in line with our “Road to Zero Harm”. Last leg of project i.e. lying of 24” gas line below the road was a challenging task and your team completed with “Zero rework” on all the welds”.
